“Vespertine is a place of cognitive dissonance that defies categorization, exploring a dimension of cuisine that is neither rooted in tradition nor culture — it is from a time that is yet to be, and a place that does not exist. In Mid-February, the opening party of the Los Angeles pop-up store with DAFT PUNK took place. Along with merchandise, the temporary store had an exhibition with costumes, stage backdrops, props, photos, and robotic helmets of the French electro-pop duo in store for visitors. Photographer Max SCHMELLING was on site to bring you several impressions from the opening. The store popped up from 11 to 19 February in parallel to the Grammy Awards. Additionally, some of Michael's images from his Your Blues series were included in APERTURE MAGAZINE's latest issue, which delves into the relationship between sound and image.
