'Peel off, stick on and show off! Turn every face into a masterpiece with our exquisitely intricate designs that couldn’t be easier to use. The concept of Face Lace emerged from a professional need and artistic challenge to create elaborate make-up designs which could be applied in a few seconds, look precise, symmetrical and stay perfect until they came off.
After launching in 2012, Face Lace became an immediate favorite among make-up artists and members of the general public wanting dramatic, but fool-proof, make-up results quickly. It has been used for quick changes on some of the most popular TV show such as Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, and The Voice. Creative, show-stopping entertainers such as Lady Gaga, Paloma Faith, and Nicole Scherzinger have worn Face Lace.
Since 2012, Face Lace has often made waves on social media and has also been worn on the catwalks during London Fashion Week. Time Out magazine listed wearing Face Lace as one of the essential elements for Halloween lovers.' is what the website of fashion illustrator and nowt entrepreneur PHYLLIS COHENS says. It’s a story that began in 1775, when Jonathan Mappin opened a silver workshop in Sheffield with a vision to create the most beautifully crafted silverware. It would see the company expand internationally, receive royal warrants and commissions from Monarchs around the world, and become synonymous with excellence, craftsmanship and all things truly greatly British. Illustrious clients throughout the decades include Queen of France Marie Antoinette, the last Czar of Russia Nicholas II, Winston Churchill, Charles Dickens, Harry Houdini, and Grace Kelly. Part celebration, part exploration, it is a renewed expression of the spirit of discovery that has driven Mappin & Webb for the last two centuries. Founded in 1887, SMYTHSON stands for more than 125 years of British luxury leather goods of the finest quality. The new motifs were staged by photographer Mark SANDERS c/o DARLING CREATIVE. A bit of interesting trivia which shows how important the company is: “We are honored to have been awarded the title Purveyor To The Court no less than three times, in 1964 by Her Majesty the Queen, in 1980 by His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, and by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, in 2002. When Smythson was still the official court purveyor to Queen Elizabeth (until 2007), there were only eight companies worldwide to receive all four awards.” Go & See: smythson.com

“With F.R.S, the pajama finally leaves the realm of the strictly private and its specifically nocturnal purpose, transforming itself into an attitude comprising lightweight fabrics that look good anywhere. In so doing, it reveals itself as a display of independence, reflecting a new and surprising self-declaration.” The beautiful photos for the manifesto by Dylan DON c/o DARLING CREATIVE. F.R.S. is the monogram of Francesca Ruffini, the heart of this project and a true monogram addict. Yet with a touch of tongue-in-cheek irony, it also means “For Restless Sleepers”. forrestlesssleepers.com
