New at GoSee is Christof R. Schmidt from Zurich, who photographs in the areas of transportation, landscape, architecture/interior & people. After finishing his photography education in Germany, the nature fan moved to Switzerland a few years ago where he has worked as a freelance photographer since 2009 for editors, agencies and companies including Jung von Matt/Limmat, Leo Burnett Switzerland, VW magazine, Contexta advertizing agency, Loved, Swiss Tourism, or Matter+Gretener Communications.
When he is not working, he is still photographing and that in the highest of heights. His impressive landscape motifs are also available at MAGROUND. But his photo archive also has Swiss landscapes and streets in hi-res photo quality in store.
As an opener here on GoSee, he presents us his splashy editorial with a JCRAFT boot, which he photographed for Hochedel magazine in Italy. Several more commissioned works and projects such as GLACIER, UNDER THE CLOUDS or AUDI SNOWPOLO are available directly via Christof.
For his new personal work, Christof photographed a range from Rover Classic in the studio. “For the backgrounds, it was off to the Swiss mountains way up at an altitude of 3000m. What makes the motifs special are the mountain landscapes originally photographed in cloudy atmospheres. The rocky surfaces are separate and were shot prospectively. I took care of concept, composing and post production personally.”
Further works from the areas of TRANSPORTATION & LANDSCAPE are available directly via Christof's website.
Athletes were photographed in action by Christof for SWISS CUP ZURICH as commissioned by MATTER GRETENER COMMUNICATIONS. Last November, the world's elite in gymnastics came together at Swiss Cup Zurich to compete in an exciting double competition. Focusing on the athletes in addition to the numerous spotlights at the gymnastics event were also the communication measures of matter + gretener. “The visual concept expresses the dynamics, aesthetics and precision of the male and female gymnasts and authentically conveys the unique ambiance in the dimmed light of the indoor stadium. To this end, the independent design concept is consistent across all touch points,” the advertising agency tells us. swiss-cup.ch
