"As the curious mind will attest, it is an ethereal thrill to discover, revere, and regale the sinuous, striking feminine form." teNeues Publishing tells us convincingly. The illustrated book titled 'The Great Beauty' by photographer Federico Pignatelli della Leonessa celebrates this exciting experience with breathtaking photos. He masterfully reflects the seemingly limitless fascination more or less half of mankind has for women and their seductive allure.
A cast of 11 chosen models and the accompanying production crew made the trek to Ladispoli, Italy, to the spectacular John Paul Getty Villa. This iconic edifice has stood tall along the Sea of Rome since 1640 and, where, after six long days and nights in splendid, idyllic isolation, in cold and adverse conditions in November 2014, this creative endeavor came to life. These images came to form by tapping into both the classic and modern elements of photography, as photographer Federico Pignatelli della Leonessa not only harnessed the conventional, traditional use of the classic Hasselblad digital camera, but he also fully embraced post-millennial digital video technology in the form of The Dragon, the Red 6K Dragon, which offers the highest-resolution that exists.
And particularly special about the book: The author is donating all of his earnings to the IRC (International Rescue Committee). A big GoSee bravo !

Each year, Bruce Weber adds a new edition to his 'All-American' art book series. 'Leap of Faith' is now number 15, which documents the facets of American life with expressive snapshots and portraits. Appearing at teNeues Publishing, the centerpiece is a long photo essay Weber shot 2015 in Richmond, Virginia. "Taking inspiration from the work of Angela Patton, an activist who organizes a father-daughter weekend each year, Weber presents a story of family, community and the impact of the justice system on everyday life in the city," the publishing company writes about the newest publication by the photographer.
Bruce Weber takes a photographic look at the life of Gordon Gronkowski´s life dedicated to sport: The father trained his five sons to become professional football and baseball players. Also presented: the photo memoir of Misa Rusek, whose family’s journey begins in turn-of-the-century Japan and continues today in Israel, with reminiscences of internment camps and postwar California in between. Television presenter and political correspondent John Dickerson offers a personal reflection on the life and career of his mother, Nancy Dickerson, the pioneering CBS newswoman. The book also celebrates people daring enough to take risks : Bruce Meyers, inventor of the Meyers-Manx dune buggy, and Jama Hedgecoth, the founder of the Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in rural Georgia.
