"Fighter" concept Created for Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January for Vogue Portugal, the series tells the personal story of Malia Keana, a Cologne (Germany) - based model who was diagnosed with cervical cancer nine years ago. An experience that forever changed her relationship with her body, her femininity, and her inner strength.Together with photographer Alina Gross, a visual world emerges that consciously moves between vulnerability and resilience. Turquoise, the international awareness color for cervical cancer, appears as a subtle visual thread throughout the series, symbolizing visibility, healing, and inner strength. The images speak of a quiet, often invisible fight —of endurance, resistance, and a strength that forms from within. Not loud, not heroic, but steady and empowering. Flowers appear not as decoration, but as silent companions —fragile, transient, and yet full of life. They reference inner transformation, continued growth, and becoming.Fighter aims to break the taboo surrounding cervical cancer and open a dialogue —about illness and healing, about fear and awareness, about femininity and body consciousness. It is a story that does not explain, but touches.
