French photographer duo KY&BA took it to Thailand for their latest CGI project with the new LOTUS ELETRE. They set out to stage an exhilarating duality – raw, untamed nature paired with the luxurious Hyper SUV complete with racecar DNA.
The backplates were captured on the island of Koh Tao, and with a little help from GoSee Members FIXIP (post production) and MAGROUND (domes), KY&BA put together this project with the latest Lotus SUV. The result is the distinct fresh ambiance you’d expect from an automotive shoot.
“Generating new domes to match the Thai environment did pose a major challenge, but wasn’t an issue in the end – collaborating with MAGROUND to create dynamic, impactful images using virtual rigs to ensure natural motion. The car’s striking bright-yellow finish made for a beautiful contrast against the unique backdrops, giving the campaign its alluring look & feel. Brought to life in close collaboration between FIXIP, KY&BA, and MAGROUND, the technically demanding and creatively rewarding project blends CGI with exotic environments for stunning visuals.” FIXIP.
The LOTUS ELETRE evolves classic Lotus design language with pioneering active aerodynamics and breakthrough driving technology. Tactile instruments, dimmable panoramic sunroof, and smart ambient lighting make for a luxurious in-car experience.

The world is waking up… At FIXIP, innovation is at the heart of everything they do. The R&D team from The LAB has just created a campaign film for the new all-electric Audi e-tron GT – produced almost completely with CGI, thus opening up entirely new possibilities for automotive advertising.
FIXIP explains : “This project emerged from the recognition that many automotive campaigns tend to have similar settings and environments, often due to budgetary or logistical constraints. To address this, The LAB has developed a new workflow designed to create unique and immersive environments. Departing from conventional clichés, the film presents a refreshed vision of the automotive world that aligns with contemporary challenges.
Inspired by the solarpunk movement, FIXIP aimed to infuse the film with a positive and sustainable message that complements Audi’s electric vehicles. This movement, which combines technology with ecological principles, guided the creation of a utopian future where cars seamlessly integrate into both natural and advanced technological landscapes.
While the film is predominantly CGI, it incorporates real footage elements to seamlessly merge technology and nature. The result is a film that not only captures attention but also sets a new standard for how brands can communicate their vision of a sustainable future.”

Here on GoSee, FIXIP presents visuals crafted for the Cadillac Evergreen XT4. Despite adverse weather conditions, FIXIP transformed rainy, overcast scenes into vibrant, sunlit visuals. Creating entire atmospheres from scratch, the team added blue skies and bright hues to match the visual identity of Cadillac. Technically demanding, the project involved altering the environment significantly as well as integrating CGI cars – demonstrating the retouch skills of FIXIP. The result: visuals that pack a punch while aligning perfectly with Cadillac’s visual identity – to underscore the vibrant elegance of the Cadillac Evergreen XT4.
“This project, realized by Fixip Studio in collaboration with photographer and director team MP Curtet, was particularly interesting because it gave us the chance to work on the distinctive look & feel of the Cadillac brand. At the time, that meant very warm, vibrant, and colorful hues, which allowed us to create a unique and dynamic aesthetic.
However, the project presented certain challenges due to the weather conditions. It was often cloudy and gray, with a little rain in certain shots. Diffuse light and the color of the car posed further challenges as red can be tricky – particularly without direct sunlight.
We had to replace almost all skies and, in several images, also the car with CGI renders. Which enabled us to keep the car body a natural and vibrant red, even though the conditions for shooting were less than ideal. CGI is not only used to introduce new car models but also to replace the same car with better lighting in order to make the most of the image and compensate for climatic uncertainties.
Retouch work and CGI enabled us to master the challenges and produce visuals that are extremely impactful when it comes to color and dynamic energy. The client is extremely satisfied with the end result, and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished for this project.”
