PAL is looking for an exceptional Junior Fashion Designer and design with forgotten sports and stories we hope to inspire each family. to join our team in Amsterdam What started as a family business is slowly growing into a worldwide force, weaving together quality and design with forgotten sports as an inspiration tot share our story to each family


The Junior Fashion Designer will participate and assist in all design steps to create the PAL Inspired collection. You will propose creative ideas and design solutions, work on trend research, sketches, and tech packs. Next to this the junior designer is responsible for organizing the approval process of fabrics and trims, organize collection overviews and prepare for key meetings. You will work in close partnership with the design lead, product development, and merchandiser on the designated brief, ensuring alignment with the brand seasonal direction and the business needs.



Qualifications

Be interested in trend reports from consumer and market research.
Co-Create the new collections, including carry-over ranges.
Support Design in the execution of seasonal concepts and briefs.
Propose innovative design solutions (style/fabric/finish/detail/colour) that is in line with strategic creative direction and consumer profile.
Ensuring close collaboration with Design to stay aligned with the seasonal and brand direction, keeping the price point as briefing by merchandise.
Update and create CAD's with detailed and precise sketching in illustrator and maintain this throughout the full development process.
Assist Design with making collection overviews, organizing the trims and fabric development libraries.
Join and assist in the proto fittings, materials selection, and trim development.


Skills

Open to self thaught or a degree in Art and Design, Fashion, or related field and 1-3 Years of experience within similar brand(s) or organization(s). Experience in mainly menswear, but additional brand relevant womenswear is appricated
Good Knowledge of CAD design and great skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Additional knowledge and experience with 3D-design is preferred.
A strong awareness of the latest fashion and streetwear.
Language skills: fluent English, verbal and written.
Results orientation: achievement motivated and thinks in terms of progress toward goals. Feels pressure to achieve timely results and produces outcomes.
