John Lewis & Partners is a department store chain based in the United Kingdom. The company was founded by John Lewis in 1864 and is now part of the largest British employee-owned business, the John Lewis Partnership.

FOUNDATION is the new, biannual glossy home magazine launched by the John Lewis Partnership in April 2025 to showcase its products and home-related expertise to a wider audience in the UK.
The spread was art-directed by Nic Duffy, and head of production was Matt Linford, both c/o John Lewis.
The JOHN LEWIS company was further developed by his son Spedan Lewis, who founded the John Lewis Partnership in 1929 to manage the business on behalf of his employees. The approximately 70,000 employees are referred to as "partners" and share both the responsibilities and rewards of ownership.

For the very first fashion editorial of the new AURUM MagBook, fashion photographer Per Appelgren had the unique opportunity to shoot in one of Vienna’s most striking locations: the historic Villa Mautner-Jäger.
“The plaster is peeling off the walls, everything feels raw. That’s exactly what created the magic I wanted to capture with my images,” Per says, describing the atmosphere during the shoot. The abandoned city villa, where history seems to hang tangibly in the air, became the perfect counterpart to the artistic vision of the editorial.
“You can feel that this place holds stories we’ll never know—but that still happened. It’s as if the walls themselves still want to speak,” the photographer continues. This unique aura perfectly matched the editorial’s guiding theme: “Who are you when everything around you falls silent?”

For his personal project “Soaring Free”, Christian Doppelgatz c/o UPFRONT traveled deep into the vast landscapes of South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains to capture the feeling of freedom through photography. The result is a series of images full of energy and lightness – from horseback rides across endless grasslands to intimate moments of connection between humans, animals, and nature. Scenes by the crackling campfire round out the series, amplifying the mood of adventure, closeness, and untamed freedom.
