EVENTS The winners of the 38th edition of the Festival of Fashion in Hyères have been chosen - and we have impressions from the show and exhibitions for you on GoSee

27.10.2023 • Igor Dieryck, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, was the big winner at the 38th edition of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories in Hyères this year (GoSee reported). He took home the prestigious Grand Prix du Jury Première Vision, the 19M Métiers d’Art prize and the Public Choice award. Dieryck’s MA collection YESSIR provides an in-depth take on social and political issues from a fashion perspective. Inspired by his personal experience while working at a hotel, his collection explores the rules and symbolism of uniforms, and analyzes how they change the wearer’s relationship to the world.

Igor Dieryck: “The YESSIR collection is inspired by a reflection on the place of hotel staff within their establishment. The main objective of my collection is to highlight those who, too often, are ignored and concealed by a system that does not give them the place to be powerful and represent the different protagonists sharing the space of the hotel lobby.”

Second prize went to Igor Dieryck’s former intern at Acne Studios, Petra Fagerstrom, who...

EVENTS Wolfgang STAHR c/o NERGER M&O photographs the 28th Bamberg Art and Antiques Fair for WELTKUNST plus a personal Hawaii motif

24.10.2023 • “Fortunately, Bamberg was largely spared during the Second World War and still had a ready supply of art and antiques – this coincided with an ever-growing demand for much sought-after antiques, especially among the art-loving Americans stationed there. Senger Bamberg Kunsthandel recalls that antique clocks were extremely popular. From these small beginnings grew what is today a major center for antiques in a city dedicated to the arts and culture. Dealers and collectors of antiques alike feel right at home in the baroque city of Bamberg!” Fiona Freifrau Loeffelholz von Colberg, from the Association of Bamberg Art and Antique Dealers.

For the magazine WELTKUNST, photographer Wolfgang STAHR c/o NERGER M&O visited the 28th edition of the Bamberg Art and Antiques Fair.

“Each year, BAMBERG is host to the Art and Antiques Fair, during which for many years, Wolfgang Stahr has photographed a special photo spread of the city for WELTKUNST.” Claudia Nerger.

Plus, we present you personal work by Wolfgang Stahr entitled ‘Hawaii’ on GoSee.News.

EVENTS DIE DA OBEN! talks about politics for people under thirty - Maximilian KÖNIG c/o DOUBLE T Photographers portrays presenters Aline Abboud, Victoria Reichelt and Jan Schipmann

04.10.2023 • Bundestag, aka Germany’s lower house of parliament, is on fire! During the plenary weeks, several hundred members of parliament from six different congressional factions talk about a plethora of issues that concern us all. They debate, argue, scream at one another… and laugh occasionally – without hardly anyone even noticing.

And even though these issues directly impact our everyday lives, our politicians can’t manage to get people under thirty on board, or interested in their work for that matter. It’s all too long and dry, way too stuffy and not digital enough.

The result: A lot of young people haven’t got the slightest notion what ‘the people up there’ are actually doing or what a typical day of politics in parliament is even like.

DIE DA OBEN! is here to change that : Jan Schipmann (INFORMR) and Aline Abboud (ZDF heute) sum up Bundestag debates in a compact humorous way that’s always informative. Whether about protecting the climate or refugee policy, education or our healthcare: In less than five minutes, they inform users about the opinions and demands of our politicians and...
