“Initially designed as a form of camouflage, we created our first tweed in 1846. Almost 180 years later, we draw new ideas from our long-established textile roots, using archive patterns in contemporary ways.” Johnstons of Elgin, Scotland.
For the latest Fall/Winter 2024 campaign, the traditional label JOHNSTONS OF ELGIN photographed and filmed in Paris – with the active support of JPPS CREATIVE PRODUCTIONS. The motifs were photographed by Boo George. “The Scottish luxury cashmere brand chose to marry the incomparable ambiance of Paris with Boo’s cinematic signature style, which gave the campaign a beautiful moody feel.” JPPS Creative Productions.
JOHNSTONS OF ELGIN has worked with the world’s finest natural, biodegradable fibers for more than 226 years. It takes time to create such luxurious, high-quality designs, and the products are made to last for more than a lifetime: “Over two centuries of experience have taught us to be gentle with our exquisite cashmere and Merino wool fibers. Our Elgin and Hawick mills are still family-owned, and Elgin is one of the last remaining vertical mills in Scotland, meaning we dye, spin, weave and finish everything on site.”
Johnstons of Elgin is the largest British manufacturer of luxurious cashmere and fine wool. The factory uses cashmere from China and Mongolia as well as lambswool from Australia. Their products are available in more than 100 retailers across Europe, Asia, and the US.
