Norge – Grand Vision in a Small Team. Christian SCHMIDT c/o CLAUDIA BITZER photographs the C 360 concept car from Volvo
That transportation productions don’t exactly need a large team was demonstrated by photographer Christian SCHMIDT c/o CLAUDIA BITZER, retoucher Simon Geis and 3D operator Johann Oswald. Like the car itself – Volvo’s c 360 concept car – they did things a little differently. Christian traveled to Norway where he photographed the landscape and spheres. Back in southern Germany, he then photographed models Hanna and Andreas c/o Modelbookers. In the meantime, the car was rendered in 3D, and it was all united in post for a harmonious result.
Created was a vision, about which opinions are divided. Is this what the future of relaxed travel looks like, or is it the end of self-determined transportation? Only time will tell, whether this way to travel will soon be the new normal. The project also shows that it is already possible to dramatically stage complex car photos today – almost effortlessly with a small team.
