ONE HUNDRED BERLIN : post-produced the series 'Daughter of Sunset' for photographer NEVA WIREKO and PURPLE MAGAZINE
Toronto-born photographer NEVA WIREKO, who currently lives in New York City, shot the series "Daughter of Sunset" for PURPLE MAGAZINE. The post-production of the 14-page series was carried out by Berlin-based post-production company ONE HUNDRED BERLIN, which specializes in beauty, fashion, still life and advertising.
Neva Wireko uses photography as a medium to reveal the many layers of ourselves and reality and to reinterpret them according to her own taste. Art, fashion and music are her domains. Her portfolio includes work for Mugler, Fenty, Kelela, NIKE, The Face Magazine, Dion Lee, SSENSE and Purple Magazine, among others.
The title of the series is derived from 'THE BOOK OF THE LAW' by ALEISTER CROWLEY. The Book of the Law is the source book and key for Crowley students and for occultism in general. The sacred text that forms the basis of Crowley's belief system, Thelema, was - so tradition has it - transmitted to him over the course of three fateful days in April 1904 in Cairo by a being called Aiwass.
Aleister Crowley (1875–1947) was an English occultist, writer, big game hunter, adventurer, chess player, mountaineer, painter, magician and, last but not least, bisexual, social provocateur.
