Wolfgang STAHR c/o NERGER M&O visited the family von Thurn und Taxis at the St. Emmeram Castle. At the estate, he portrayed Gloria, Elisabeth and Albert von Thurn und Taxis.
Nestled at the end of the old town in Regensburg is the princely palace of Thurn und Taxis. The lavish complex was formed from the buildings of the Benedictine monastery of St. Emmeram, one of the oldest of all Bavarian monasteries. In connection with the transfer of postal rights, the Thurn und Taxis royal house purchased the larger part of the monastery complex as part of secularization measures in 1810 and converted it into its main place of residence. The palace complex is equipped with several magnificently furnished halls. Visitors can tour the cloister and neighboring buildings from the oldest part of the monastery, as well as the staterooms of the princely palace and the former stables, which are now home to a museum.
