Any way you look at it, this year’s fashion season was special, and especially thrilling for that matter – after all, it did have quite a few surprising re-interpretations in store for us. An inherent characteristic in the nature of fashion is that it is erratic – its heart is always in search of new and ever-changing trends but is also driven by the desire to do without and concentrate on what’s essential. This goes just as much for the comeback of the bomber jacket as it does for the formal double-breasted coat. Dreamy feathers or classic hound’s tooth check in turn contribute to the new looks. They are covered by a ‘coat of black’, as valuable and sustainable as usual, but that doesn’t mean in the least that the future of fashion isn’t just as rosy as always, au contraire. So stroll into the new season with that usual swag... and as is befitting of a DIVA – she has already gone on ahead.
