EDITORIAL 'Blame it on Andy' or 'Warhol’s everlasting influence on fashion' - Jonas Huckstorf photographs for ACHTUNG Mag with styling by Ingo NAHRWOLD c/o BIGOUDI

07.02.2024 • ACHTUNG Magazine writes about the editorial shot by Jonas Huckstorf and styled by Ingo NAHRWOLD c/o BIGOUDI : “The combination of stylist Ingo Nahrwold and photographer Jonas Huckstorf is not new in ACHTUNG. Channeling Richard Avedon’s photos of Andy Warhol’s Factory in fashion photography isn’t either.

But add in a great and very 2023-feeling cast featuring Smilla Herbst, this editorial, combining classic suits and coats, is obscuring the lines of gender conformity. The B&W editing, the group shots, as well as the classic and androgynous tailoring are extremely reminiscent of The Factory vibe captured in Avedon’s iconic images.

EDITORIAL ‘A work of art to live in’ – visiting Laurence Leenaert in her Riad Rosemary. A reportage by Brita SÖNNICHSEN c/o NERGER M&O for SALON MAGAZINE

01.02.2024 • Brita SÖNNICHSEN c/o NERGER M&O photographed the newly opened Riad Rosemary in the medina of Marrakech for SALON MAGAZINE. Brita and Editor-at-Large Antje Wewer met up with designer Laurence Leenaert for an interview.

Rosemary is a traditional riad which is believed to have been designed by Belgian architect Quentin Wilbaux. Notoriously obsessed with the riads of Marrakech, he made a life’s work of sketching, photographing, and ultimately, restoring nearly 150 of them. Brimming with original features, the house exudes the kind of atmosphere that can only come from people who loved it from the bottom of their hearts.

The fashion label LRNCE, founded in 2013 by Laurence Leenaert, is headquartered in Marrakech. After studying Fashion Design at the KASK & Conservatorium school of arts in Ghent, Laurence Leeneart decided to found her own brand in a studio in Belgium but then moved to Marrakech to develop it further. This is also where she worked on Riad Rosemary.

“Getting to know Rosemary has been a significant part of my artistic evolution. I had to think through the whole experience...
