“A bread roll steams gently in the nitro, a Wolpertinger scurries past. King Ludwig breeds a penicillin camembert in a white lab coat. Outside, thick threads of cheese drift by. Kiki and Bouba hop hand in hand across the mountain pasture. We are assured that this is the only place where the fabulous udder flower can be seen in the evening light. Our restaurant is a neo-Bavarian exploratorium, scientific laboratory and culinary melting pot all in one, in short: the center of the world!” says owner Markus Stöckle about ROSI'S, his Zurich restaurant inspired by Bavarian food culture.

Glowing gelées or smoking clouds - “Rosi's” chef Markus Stöckle is considered the craziest chef in Switzerland, according to Gault & Millau. Markus Stöckle grew up on an organic dairy farm in the Allgäu. After his apprenticeship as a chef, he worked at Sergio Herman's “Oud Sluis” and Heston Blumenthal's “The Fat Duck” in Bray UK. This is where he met his current business and life partner Elif Oskan. In 2014, they founded the catering company and dessert concept Miss Marshall in Zurich. After pop-up concepts such as “Wild Bar” and “Fuego Y Hielo”, the duo is now responsible for the restaurants Rosi, Gül and Gül Express in Zurich.
