Blumarine, founded by Anna Molinari and her late husband Gianpaolo Tarabini in 1977, is the luxurious core brand, alongside Miss Blumarine, Blugirl Blu Sport and Anna Molinari, of the Blufin S.p.A fashion house, which is family-owned to this day.

Walter Chiapponi has been Creative Director of Blumarine since the end of 2023. The designer, who used to be with Tod’s, followed thus in the footsteps of Nicola Brognano. Chiapponi, who will present his first collection for Blumarine during Milan Fashion Week 2024, started his career after graduating from the European Institute of Design in the 90s. A trajectory which has taken him from Alessandro Dell’Aqua, with stops along the way at Givenchy, Valentino, Gucci, and Miu Miu, or even Bottega Veneta, to where he is today.
