Creative Director & Art Director Lucía García Rey presents us the new ARKET looks for Fall/Winter – which were photographed by Pamela Dimitrov & Deo Suveera. With Spanish roots, the creative worked for Inditex as well as Bimba y Lola, then moved to Sweden where she was first in charge of all things visual for MONKI as creative lead and worked as art director for Arket, which she continues to do. As a freelance CD/AD, she works for clients today such as ARKET, ZARA, TEKLA, H&M, ROWSE, Pull&Bear, The Campamento, & Other Stories, to name just a few. Her visual language is marked by Nordic clarity and a subtle elegance. We now present you the ARKET F/W 2024 Lookbook on GoSee.
Lucía tells GoSee : “The campaign is a lookbook, the goal of which is to present the quality, designs, fabrics, and all elements of the collection. Since the focus is mainly on the products, we wanted to keep the photos clean and understated, and let the clothing play the lead role. At the same time, it was important to us to achieve a powerful visual effect with the images.”
The ARKET Lookbook for Winter 2024 is focused on pragmatic function and celebrates the beauty of everyday life – offering a modular, multifaceted wardrobe for every occasion, inspired by the dynamic of city life. “At the core of our collections this season is pragmatic function. Celebrating the beauty of the mundane, we propose a wardrobe that can be worn for any occasion. It is modular and personal, suggesting solutions driven by a romantic vision of big city life,” says Ella Soccorsi, Head of Design & Creative at ARKET.
The womenswear collection accentuates clear silhouettes sculpted closer to the body with tailored details such as striking shoulder lines and pressed creases. Key pieces include the tailored wool coat, the suede blazer, and fluid trousers. The menswear collection combines British heritage and utility references with a Nordic point of view, searching for simplicity and quality. Novelties such as the leather jacket, the chunky cable knit, and the reversible canvas and nylon quilted vest set the tone, while the heavy Melton wool car coat, with its loose and long statement silhouette, remains a highlight of the F/W collection.
