Hamburg-based eyewear label MAPLETON produces classic designs inspired by those of the 1930s to the 1990s. All handmade in Germany.
Tom MEDICI c/o KLAUS STIEGEMEYER photographed the campaign stills for MAPLETON presented on GoSee.
MAPLETON does completely without the use of plastics. Preferred materials include organic acetate, brass and glass. This wonderful concept is the brainchild of the two creatives Klaus Stiegemeyer and Florian Baron.
The collection is produced in a traditional artisan’s workshop in Bavaria: “The frames are crafted entirely by hand in a workshop in Southern Germany. Requiring more than 50 individual steps throughout the production process to create one pair of glasses, the eyewear from MAPLETON is not designed for the masses. It is perhaps closer to what one would expect of a classic.” Florian Baron, Mapleton.
