"This Sport Belongs To Them" – Munirah Abdiwahid is a British-Somali Taekwondo athlete with her sights firmly set on LA 2028. Hailing from White City, London, her grit, determination, and focus – combined with strong family and community support – are driving her success. Director and Photographer Matthew JOSEPH c/o UPFRONT was captivated by this unique blend of circumstances and was instantly inspired to create a short film. This film not only showcases Munirah’s journey but also highlights the broader values she embodies. It's a story of empowerment, dedication to a cause, and a powerful message to the world that everyone has the right to pursue their dreams.
