The original Grashopper comes from a time when shoe fashion adhered to strict rules, and classic women's footwear was slim, pointed and usually featured a stiff leather sole – not comfortable in the slightest. Music from the US, cheap travel an most of all student movements put a bit more life into the lifestyle of the 60s – and the foot benefited too. In 2016, SIOUX is reviving this spirit with the photos by Stephan GLATHE, which were produced in Los Angeles. Whether the original from the 60s, the hippie-style fringe shoes from the 70s or the Grasshopper New Generation, the hybrid combo of sneaker and moccasin, with shark-tooth sole, understated black & white, or playful fabric prints – there is guaranteed something for everyone! grashopper.de
