ANKE LUCKMANN photographs ‘Barcelona Boxing’ during the lockdown on a rooftop terrace high above the Spanish metropolis
ANKE LUCKMANN stands for international transportation productions, strong portraits and artificial landscape or architecture projects, but also surprises us once in a while with thrilling sport reportages. At the moment, she presents us ‘Barcelona Boxing’ on GoSee, which was photographed during the first corona wave in the cosmopolitan capital of the Spanish region Catalonia.
“During the lockdown in Spain, rooftop terraces all of a sudden became the only personal space anyone could stay outside. They were used more frequently and diversely than ever before. People came to play music, to sunbathe and, of course, to do sports on the roofs. I accompanied Alfredo and his friends during their daily boxing training – the boys are lucky to have a rooftop terrace like that.” the photographer tells us.
