Being different is beautiful … – FRAUKE FISCHER wins the PX3 Paris Photo Prize in the category ‘Advertising’
With her project ‘ALL Beauty’ with Down Syndrome model Tamara, Frauke Fischer won an award at the Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3) as Advertising Photographer of the Year 2022 and Gold in Advertising/Beauty. The core message of her project : Beauty is in everyone, everyone is beautiful. And: Being different is beautiful.
“In beauty photography, only perfect ideals are often shown. This started to bore me in my work as a beauty photographer, and I wanted to show how much more fascinating people and beauty there are. In this series, I portrayed Tamara, a model with Down Syndrome.” Frauke Fischer.
The work will be exhibited in Paris at the annual exhibition of the PX3 awards. The Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3), founded in 2007, is aimed at promoting appreciation for photography, discovering emerging talent and introducing photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris.
