Industrial photographer WOLFRAM SCHROLL was commissioned by the companies Precipoint and AM Automation to photograph reference objects. For instance at AM Automation, which manufactures storage & conveyor systems including control technology and is one of the leading suppliers in the area of automated intralogistics solutions.
Wolfram Schroll on the topic: “Ever since I became specialized in industrial photography, I have also photographed automation. Like the system made by the company Precipoint, a scan system for the phatological analysis of skin samples. Controlled by a robot, scans or made with a data size of approx. 1 GB for the examination in cell cultures.
Completely different is the automation system at AM Automation where an autostore system is used, a complex system with several individual robots. It looks like a wonderful, technical ballet.
For Bloomberg News, I photographed different subjects. Automation for example at Mercedes, the marriage of the chassis and battery system or a filling system for the company Henkel. The challenge here was to produce thrilling photos in a very short time.”

Lube oil rather than hair spray, blue collar rather than haute couture, preferably the smell of steel to the waft of perfume. No models, no cool locations, just raw reality.
