“SHOTVIEW now represents photographer and director Romin Favre. To kick things off, we present you a showreel – including the Zadig & Voltaire campaign, work for Shiseido and much more.
Romin Favre was born in December, 1981, in the French Alps, where he spent most of his childhood surrounded by the wilderness of the countryside and the mountains. Throughout this time, a camera was his constant companion.
At the age of sixteen, Romin moved to Paris to attend secondary school and graduated in 2003, after which he started a career as a freelance graphic designer. A formative experience, during which he honed his skills in photographic composition, seamlessly blending structure with organic and vibrant images. His passion for fashion led him to work as an art director for DIESEL, supervising advertising campaigns for approximately four years. He then co-founded an agency specialized in advertising and graphic design, which he continued to work with until 2012.
That same year, Romin decided to become entirely devoted to photography and started working for renowned publications such as Cosmopolitan and Les Echos, giving him the chance to showcase his colorful and playful artistic vision. His work is often inspired by dreams and childhood memories, seeking to capture and replicate emotions and details instantly within the frame of a portrait or scene. Fun fact, and quite remarkable : Romin has never attended a formal photography school. Instead, he continues to translate his imagination into visual masterpieces.
Over the years, Romin has continuously refined his approach, striving to simplify his photography while keeping it as creative as ever. He has also ventured into the world of directing, masterfully bringing his images to life through motion. He is an avid learner day in and day out with a laser focus on the world around him – whether he’s exploring what lies hidden deep beneath the surface or in the vast expanses of the sky.
His portfolio is no less impressive, featuring collaborations with prestigious clients such as Chanel, Kenzo, Shiseido, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint-Laurent, Cosmopolitan, John Lewis UK, Accor Hotels, LVMH, Kadewe, Ruinart, Lancôme, Madame Figaro, L’Occitane, Minuty, Hennessy… to name just a few.”
