La Jolla, one of the most picturesque towns on California’s Pacific coast, has been the home of Theodore ‘Dr. Seuss’ Geisel, actor Gregory Peck, Jonas Salk, who developed the Polio vaccine, astronaut Sally Ride, NFL pioneer Paul Brown and actress Raquel Welch.
