Wolfram Scholl : from fine bottles, fat machines and tough men. Industrial photography at it's best for TITAN UMREIFUNGSTECHNIK and DECO GLAS
For several years, Wolfram Schroll has photographed reference objects in Germany and Austria for machine manufacturer TITAN STRAPPING SYSTEMS, such as the coil system shot by Wolfram at Voestealpine AG in Linz. Huge steel coils are strapped for transport there. It sounds simple, but it isn't. Photographing during running production is never easy. Wolfram tells us: “I like to photograph machines at the plant right up close, in usually restricted areas. That always requires a balance of diplomacy and persuasion until the manufacturer gives its go-ahead.”
A totally different shoot for the same company. For a corporate brochure, the machine engineers were interviewed, and Wolfram accompanied journalist Martin Hoffmann with his fantastic photos.
Wolfram Schroll was particularly pleased about the contract from the company DECO GLAS – a shoot in a sea of bottles. Deco Glas turns simple glass bottles into a special bottle which is perfect for the brand. Wolfram was commissioned to visualize the processes for websites and brochures. “The shoot was short-term, and after a previous location check, we were able to realize the takes on over the course very long day,” the photographer tells GoSee.
