Lubricating oil instead of hairspray, blue linen instead of haute couture, rather the smell of steel than of perfume. No models, no cool locations, only rough reality. Wolfram Schroll, specialized in attention to detail in his often unusual approach to industrial photography, is also the go-to person when it comes to portraits in industrial environments. The photos are mostly used for websites, annual reports, customer magazines but also for recruiting and social media.
“In my photography, I would really like to maintain and see a high level of authenticity. That means of course photographing real employees. Which makes models in my field of work rather a no-go. Most clients see it similarly. Alone or as part of a team, depending on the job or budget, we produce authentic and exciting photos in a laid-back atmosphere and the appropriate surroundings. That also works internationally – we’re shooting across Europe at the moment for a client. A source of endless joy for everyone on set is my old-fashioned school English,” the photographer tells GoSee tongue in cheek.
About WOLFRAM SCHROLL
Lube oil rather than hair spray, blue collar rather than haute couture, preferably the smell of steel to the waft of perfume. No models, no cool locations, just raw reality. I love my work - industrial photography. And I love the noise and the heat, the weirdness of the production lines, sometimes all a bit menacing. The people, salt of the earth, uncomplicated. And the permanent challenge of getting photos out of the dark production halls and complex machinery, photos that deserve the word picture. On behalf of customers, taking photos of machines that look as expensive as they actually are. Here at this website, you can sample of my latest work from the worlds of steel, paper, machine construction and medical technology....and of the people who work there.
