Maximilian Virgili c/o LGA MGMT presents us ‘Out of Office’ – his most beautiful traveling experiences in bold colors and 92 memorable images. Memories and moments he has captured far away from the daily work routine. This visual diary was created during his travels to Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Thailand, Greece, Hungary and further destinations.
“There is nothing particular I pursue while photographing; It is very intrinsic and cathartic. I am drawn to situations where colors are predominant, graphical structures, which the light hits in interesting ways. But also random everyday situations that would perhaps, for the most part, be overlooked by many. I simply enjoy revisiting such images at a later time and remembering the feeling I had when taking them,” Maximilian Virgili comments on his book.
Maximilian Virgili (*1989, Karlsruhe) lives and works as a freelance photographer in Berlin. Following his studies at the University of Siegen, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013, he worked as an assistant to photographer Peter Granser. He has also worked as photo director for CAPITAL and ZEITMAGAZIN.
Alongside a strong focus on personal projects, he works mainly for editorial clients – dealing with the trivial and grotesque, the impact of humans on their environment, between staging and coincidence.
