Hello to all the couple lovers, the photography fans, the bike enthusiasts. The reaction to the couple photo on the bike has been huge after — all together — one and a half year. I’m so proud to share this special moment with you after such a long time. I knew what I wanted to shoot in Cape Town: one of the BMWs I saw the year before. The video of the window is from 3rd January 2019, when I took a walk from my first Airbnb in CPT. When I asked the owner if it’s possible to rent it, I wasn’t able to pay the rental costs. But I knew there will be the right moment. After saving money over the whole year and a return to South Africa in the following season — feb/mar 2020 — I was able to do this Shoot as I planned it. My friend @jane_jakobi_ was already there and was ready to help me as hair&makeup artist. This was already a big thing for me, because Jane is one of the best hair&makeup artists I know. @konstantin invited me to a party in his Airbnb and I met @caspar_hees and invited him to the project to film it, he come up with some good ideas and pushed me to do a location scouting right on the next day. We drove the whole day without knowing each other to find the perfect spot. We rented a Jeep, so that we can put off the doors. I asked @jessica_dessica for the model job on instagram, I had her in my mind for few months because of her motorcycle feed and we were so lucky, that she was in Cape Town with her bike riding boyfriend @sbarham who’s also a model. All came together, we invested so much money, so much time for this one photo. I’ve waited so long for this. For the film, we had several tries, for the photo we had just one chance of 3 minutes and then the moment came. And in this few seconds, nothing around you matters, you become a part of the scenery. I shot this without really seeing what the camera was doing. But with the knowledge of years with this camera I was able to change the settings during the shot and knew that my fingers on the buttons do the right things. And than the camera clicked. I saw this picture so long ago, now you can too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support, the comments and the love. DRIVE SAFE, DAVID

#happyplace, a project in times of Corona lockdowns by the photographers of TOBIAS BOSCH FOTOMANAGEMENT In den letzten Wochen war vieles neu und anders.
