This unexpected action connects the penguin type with intellect, individuality, and fashion consciousness, leading to an amusing and charming scene. An animal study in search of new identities. "May I Introduce Myself?" is a six-part image series that takes the viewer on a journey of discovery through a world where animals assume new identities and find themselves in unusual environments. Combining nature and fashion in unexpected ways, the series invites contemplation on the relationship between humans and animals, as well as the fusion of nature and culture. The series explores the boundaries between animal and human, inviting viewers to see the world through new eyes. Each image presents an animal that, through the use of compound words from the German language, takes on a completely new personality and presents itself in a surprising new environment. As the compounds of the animal designations are established terms in the German language, and the image irony does not readily translate into other languages, the addition of their Latin animal designations and their English translations enables international access. "May I Introduce Myself?" invites viewers to see the world through new eyes and discover the diversity and creativity in the animal kingdom. Each image tells a unique story and encourages reflection on the significance of identity, self-expression, and the connection between humans and animals.
For Azteca Cueros in Buenos Aires, the city that never sleeps. This campaign was inspired by the edgy but stylish mood of 90`s new wave punk rock. Loving David Fincher`s Fight Club among other movies of that time, the crew had great fun by shooting. The lens selection was also according to the time reconstruction, Carl Zeiss Jena P6 plus a few vintage Canon lenses.
