"Reverse Sun" is a striking exploration of the interplay between nature, the cosmos, and geometric structures, brought to life through a seamless blend of film and CGI. The project was conceived and produced by SORRYWECAN, from the initial creative concept to the final production, offering profound visual insights into the sun and its mysteries.
Inspired by Jaroslav Kysa's groundbreaking installation "Reverse Sun," a monumental sculpture made of bee-shaped plastics, SORRYWECAN explored the visual parallels between sunspots and honeycombs, as well as the connection between bee structures and solar energy. These discoveries led to a deep artistic engagement with the sun as a source of energy and the symmetry found in both nature and the cosmos.
Using advanced 3D composite techniques, an immersive experience was created that reveals the project's artistic inspiration. Through the fusion of CGI and real footage, SORRYWECAN crafted a visual language that takes the viewer on a journey through the universe, while questioning the deeper meaning of geometric forms in the natural and cosmic environment.
The project invites reflection on the symmetry and interplay of nature, science, and art, encouraging viewers to recognize the deeper significance behind the forms and structures that shape our world and the universe.

The agency SORRYWECAN about their spot: “Introducing our latest global campaign, created in collaboration with BeeSweet films and Ogilvy Amsterdam. With an innovative approach to cinematography, we explored the possibilities of virtual production. A cinematic dreamscape, with a touch of AI, taking you right to the Grand Canyon.
Shot at the iconic Barrandov studios, we utilized LED walls as the backdrop for our CGI generated landscaped. With real-time rendering, we were able to project the Grand Canyon onto our panels, blending physical and digital elements in real time. Complemented by eight meter-tall faux stones, the 200m2 LED panel allowed us to simulate an environment thousands of miles away. A global production, done locally.
Our team spanned over a 100 people, two months of prep, seven lens varieties and three different Arri Alexa Mini LF cameras. A success worth the effort, the project has been shortlisted for the Berlin Commercial Awards. A recognition of our desire to create, and innovate at the same time.”
